They say villages are dirty and rural
And depleted and poor
Not to mention lowly and worthless
Along with homes without doors!
Now it may not mean much to you
But, let me tell you a thing or two
About the villages of India, and the things that they do
They have the best carvings and idols, of the
Ones watching us from up above.
They know how to enjoy themselves,
Even though the most powerful thing they have is love.
They know how to thank our gods for the little that they have.
Like the small wind that has blown,
Reliving them from tending to the baby calves.
The Villagers are thankful people,
Even though most of us are not
But I am happy to tell you that
A village is my home, and I like It a lot.
